Project Overview: The task was to redesign an Ad Game Design Platform for a client, aiming to create a more engaging and streamlined user experience. This project was part of a job application, completed in a 5-hour window.
Problem Statement: The existing design lacked modern appeal and was difficult to navigate, which affected user engagement. The goal was to create a user-friendly interface that could attract and retain more users, while aligning with current design standards.
Research & Insights: You analyzed the original platform and identified several pain points:
Complex navigation structure that confused users.
Outdated visual elements that did not resonate with the target audience.
Inefficient use of space, making the content harder to access.
Overall lack of cohesiveness in the design that made it feel less professional.
Design Process:
Wireframes & Prototypes: Initial wireframes were created to focus on optimizing the layout, reducing clutter, and improving the content hierarchy. User flows were carefully considered to ensure ease of use.
UI Design: A clean, modern design was implemented, making use of bold, legible typography and visually appealing color schemes. The overall aesthetic was chosen to provide a friendly yet professional look, focusing on user engagement.
Functionality Enhancements: Key functions were highlighted for intuitive interaction. The new navigation structure ensured that users could quickly find the features they were looking for, minimizing cognitive load.
Before & After Comparison:
Before: The platform was cluttered, with poor navigation and outdated visuals that hindered user engagement.
After: The redesign introduced an appealing interface, simplified navigation, and improved usability, offering a more pleasant and seamless user experience.
Outcome: The final design successfully addressed the usability concerns, making the platform more accessible and aesthetically pleasing. The improvements to both the UI and UX created a more intuitive experience that aligned better with the needs of modern users and industry standards.
